Creating a Cancer-Free Tomorrow:

APHFT's Commitment to Awareness

Every year, lakhs of Indian families are shattered by the harsh reality of a cancer diagnosis. As per projections by leading health authorities, cancer incidence in India is expected to rise significantly in the coming years, making it one of the leading causes of mortality in the country. Despite this alarming trend, cancer often remains a hushed topic — surrounded by stigma, fear, and lack of understanding.

The most commonly diagnosed cancers in India include oral cancers in men, and breast and cervical cancers in women. The encouraging news is that these types of cancer are not only treatable but, in many cases, preventable — especially when detected early. With advancements in medical science and growing awareness of early warning signs, survival rates are improving. This reinforces the urgent need to empower communities through education and open dialogue.

At APHFT, our mission begins with awareness. We believe that the first step toward effective cancer management is breaking the cycle of ignorance. Lack of proper information, unhealthy lifestyle habits, and deep-rooted social taboos have led to late detection and increased suffering. Our awareness campaigns strive to educate individuals on the risk factors, early symptoms, harmful effects of tobacco, and the importance of regular health screenings.

We conduct community outreach programs, awareness seminars, distribution of multilingual informational brochures, and interactive sessions in schools, workplaces, and public spaces. Through visual media such as short films, posters, and informative videos, we deliver impactful messages aimed at demystifying cancer and encouraging preventive action. By spreading awareness, APHFT not only aims to reduce the incidence of cancer but also eliminate the social stigma attached to it — making it easier for patients and families to seek help, speak out, and fight back with dignity. Together, through informed choices and early intervention, we can build a healthier, cancer-aware India.

Lectures and Open Forums

Awareness Lecture

At Arun Priyanka Health Foundation Trust (APHFT), our cancer awareness lectures are designed to make knowledge accessible and stigma-free. Delivered in both English and regional languages, these sessions are held in schools, colleges, factories, residential areas, offices, and more.

We educate on lifestyle-related cancer risks, early signs, myths, and the importance of timely screening using visual presentations, fact-based data, and realistic narratives. Brochures and posters are distributed for ongoing reference.

Our outreach extends to diverse groups including school students, women’s groups, prison inmates, armed forces personnel and their families, and blue-collar workers—ensuring inclusivity and maximum impact.

Engagement activities such as skits, slogan contests, surveys, and pledge drives make sessions interactive. Special events are organized on World Cancer Day, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, International Women’s Day, and more to amplify our message.

These forums are not just lectures—they're conversations that save lives.

APHFT’s Tobacco Cessation Program

At Arun Priyanka Health Foundation Trust (APHFT), we understand that a tobacco-free environment is not just a legal mandate—it's a step toward healthier living and higher workplace productivity.

Our Tobacco Cessation Program is built around voluntary participation and awareness, not enforcement. We educate employees about the scientifically proven harms of tobacco, its direct links to cancer, and the deceptive strategies used by the tobacco industry.

Through engaging awareness lectures, we present the facts in a non-judgmental, relatable way—highlighting both the health and economic benefits of quitting tobacco. Our introductory training sessions are open to all employees, empowering individuals to take the first step without fear or stigma.

Employees are encouraged to reach out confidentially via email, mobile, or direct visit—either individually or through their HR departments—for personalized support.

A healthier workplace begins with an informed, supported workforce—and APHFT is here to guide that journey.
